Celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

Today, in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. I am posting his speech, I've been to the Mountaintop, the last speech he made the night before he was assassinated on April 4, 1968. One of the things I love about this speech is how Dr. King recounts many momentous events in world history.

My favorite part is when he says he would turn to God and ask Him,"If you allow me to live just a few years in the second half of the 20th century, I will be happy,” thus including himself as one of the movers and shakers of world history.

And indeed he is.
