Labor Day Reflection

Writer's picture: Diana NygardDiana Nygard

Labor Day was begun in 1882 to pay tribute to workers, giving them a day off from their labors.

When we hear the word labor, it is usually accompanied by a picture of a difficult, tiring task. But there is no reason that we can’t enjoy our labor!

I love my work writing stories and articles for your enrichment. For me, working using my talents and abilities is partnering with God.

Please enjoy this Scripture verse written by Solomon the Teacher talking about work.

It is good for people to eat, drink, and enjoy their work under the sun during the short life God has given them, and to accept their lot in life. And it is a good thing to receive wealth from God and the good health to enjoy it.

Ecclesiastes 5:18-20 New Living Translation (NLT)
