Leapin' lizards!

Writer's picture: Diana NygardDiana Nygard

Leapin’ lizards is a phrase that Little Orphan Annie, of the 1920’s comic strip fame would say when she was surprised, worried, or extremely happy. I don't know why the lizards were leapin’,  but it sure is cute.

Today the lizards may or may not be leapin’, but the year sure is! Today is Leap Day, February 29, on which we have one extra day in the year. Please enjoy Leap year From the series Learning through culture.
