The exhibition title intimates the broad spectrum of art that you will perhaps see at this museum.
The Nassau County Museum of Art in Roslyn, New York, in their mansion on Long Island’s Gold Coast is now showing Seeing Red: Renoir to Warhol, July 20, 2024, through January 5, 2025.
The concept that the exhibition explores is the various expressions of the color red. In much of life, such as in politics, religion, emotions, and literature red means many things to many people.
Renoir was a French impressionist painter in the 1800 , whereas Warhol painted Pop Art in the 1950s through the 1980s. If you have seen both of these artists' work, perhaps you can appreciate the scope of the title of the museum's exhibition.
Like many of the museums I write about on my website, the Nassau County Museum of Art is sponsored by Bank of America's Museums On Us program with free admission on the first full weekend of the month for cardholders. To review the details of this generous program, see my article, Free Museum Admission with Museums On Us by Bank of America
